I feel you on this. Sometimes I go through withdrawals when my phone dies or whenever my computer needs charging. It is quite frightening – but I think we, as a people, are addicted to the “likes”. Perhaps it is not such a bad thing, as it is just yearning for a community of sorts. All I want is to be recognized and validated, you know? It becomes a problem when we forget that there is a real material world and we begin to prefer those subscriptions.

Agreed. I think we need to recognise when it stops being an aid and becomes rather more of a crutch.
